Last year the members of the Willow Grove Moose Lodge 1101 held our 13th Annual Lodge Golf Outing at the Limekiln Golf Club. The outing was very successful and we were able to raise funds for the Willow Grove Moose Lodge and local charities. We thank all our sponsors, the members of the Willow Grove Moose Lodge 1101, their family, friends and our community for the support needed to continue our successful efforts in raising funds for our Lodge and our community.
The Willow Grove Moose Lodge raises funds throughout the year to help our members in need, run blood drives for the American Red Cross, raise funds to support & help with the purchase of Upper Moreland Township’s newest K-9 Dog “Rex”, raise funds, food & clothing for Saint Ann’s Church, raise funds to help multiple sclerosis & cancer patients in need, support our local school and community activities as well as raise funds to support our local little league & Boy Scouts of America. The Willow Grove Moose Lodge also raises funds to support Moose International, Inc. which is established for the purpose of helping needy children by offering them a home and schooling at their facility in Illinois called Mooseheart and helping the elderly at their facility in Jacksonville, Florida called Moosehaven.

As a lot of you know, many of our leadership teams went out to Las Vegas last week for the international convention. The yearly meeting was very informative and productive, not to mention a lot of fun. Our lodge was a huge winner this year, receiving the Premiere Lodge Award for the third year in a row. This award was only given to 208 lodges in the country and only three in our district.
John Dougherty received a fellowship degree awarded for service to fraternity. This prestigious Fellowship Degree of Honor, the third degree of the Loyal Order of Moose, is conferred by the Supreme Lodge on Moose members in recognition of their outstanding service to their Lodge and fraternity. Congratulations John!
There was also a rule update to allow men to sign up women and vice versa.
